Young members of Woodcraft Folk recently met for a training residential in April at Cudham Environmental Activities Centre. During the event they explored carbon footprints and played carbon and climate awareness games 🌏. They also began to collect data to measure the environmental impact of residential stays at the centre.
The team of young educators are part of the National Association for Environment Education funded All Change project. Since April they have been testing activities at local Woodcraft Folk groups, gathering feedback on what young people want to learn about regarding climate change and which activities they find engaging.
The group have just published their first film, exploring carbon footprints https://bit.ly/3z50Nrn. This will be one of a series of films the group are producing that explore climate change, climate science and how young people can take action to address the climate emergency.
This summer the team will be hosting workshops at Common Ground for children and young people.
