Transforming our energy ecosystem

Ensuring a livable future relies on how quickly we transition toward renewable energy and away from fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas. We already have all of the technology we need to make this future possible.

Together, solar panels, wind turbines, and hydropower plants will provide clean energy to power our transportation systems, homes, and workplaces. Battery storage will provide consistent access to energy, and energy efficient technologies and green building design will reduce the demand placed on our power supply.

Transitioning to renewable energy will create an energy ecosystem that ensures lower carbon emissions, healthier communities, and cleaner air, water and soil.

rebuilding our food system

From seed to plate, every step in our food system is filled with opportunities for climate solutions. More than just reducing emissions, these solutions steer us toward an equitable food system for both people and the planet.

We can treat land, soil, and waters with respect, ensure access to healthy and affordable foods, and uplift people by supporting farmworkers.

CARING FOR OUR ONE HOME

Supporting Earth's ecosystems is essential to building a livable future. Our ecosystems provide the air we drink, and the nourishment we need. They also help remove fossil fuel emissions from the atmosphere, keeping the planet cooler.

We can care for these systems by conserving natural areas, promoting wildlife diversity, ensuring access to nature for all people, and listening to the wisdom of those who have stewarded land and waters for millenia.
